Taking Chance is a film directed by Ross Katz for HBO Film. It tells the story of Lt. Col. Michael Strobl’s journey as he accompanies the body of Lance Cpl. Chance Phleps to his burial site in his hometown in Wyoming.

The concept and design of the title sequence, by Michael Riley, was inspired by the journal of Lt. Col. Michael Strobl.

As designer and animator, my role was to further develop the look and feel of the final sequences by contributing new designs and animation.
